• So during this festive period Association of Kenya Insurers would like to remind you to keep safe.

If you are a motorist,

• Respect all other road users,
• Obey the traffic lights, and
• Keep within the speed limits on the roads.
• Don’t be in a hurry, it is better to arrive late and arrive alive.

If you are a pedestrian,

• Try and use pedestrian bridges where they are provided,
• Cross at the zebra crossing, and remember to look right, look left and look right again before crossing the road.
• Be on the lookout for bodabodas.
• Avoid using ear/headphones when walking.
• Always be aware of your surroundings.

If you are a bodaboda rider,

• Respect traffic rules and traffic lights
• Always wear a helmet, reflective clothing and proper footwear
• Carry one passenger at a time
• Wear cycling gloves to protect your hands
• Do not drink and ride a motorbike

If you are a bodaboda passenger, always insist on wearing a safety helmet and reflective clothing.
