Kenya is set to host the African Insurance Organisation Annual Conference and General Assembly and 50th Anniversary celebration from 25th to 30th June 2022 at the Edge Convention Centre situated at the College of Insurance in Nairobi.

The theme for the event is ‘Insurance and Climate Change; Harnessing the Opportunities for growth in Africa.’ The speakers will present insightful papers on this topic with highlights on data driven solutions, agri-tech and insurance, Sustainable Insurance opportunities and challengers and on increasing insurance penetration through consumer education.

This annual pan-African meeting is set to attract over 1,000 delegates from local, continental and global insurance sector players including regulators, re-insures, brokers, insurers, agents, and others. This is a great honour and opportunity to showcase the Kenyan insurance market in particular and our country in general.

The AIO Secretariat is working together with the Local Organising Committee made up of local industry players led by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and the Association of Kenya Insurers to host a world class event.

The AIO is mandated to advocate for the needs of the African insurance industry and this is achieves through advocacy, capacity building, reputation building and research. AIO was established in 1972 and it will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary alongside the Conference in 2022.
