James O. Oyugi is the Chief Executive Officer of Cannon Life Assurance (K) Limited. He is a holder of a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from Moi University. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of London (ACII), an Associate of Insurance Institute of Kenya (AIIK) and a Chartered Insurer. He has attended diverse executive development programs both onshore and offshore.

Mr. Oyugi, who is an expert in Life and Pensions business, has worked for several renowned Insurance firms in Kenya in senior capacities spanning over 20 years. He has served in the Executive Council of the Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK). He is the immediate past Chairman the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) and is currently an ex-officio member of the AKI Board.
