Continental Reinsurance Company was admitted as an Associate Member during the 37th Annual General Meeting of the Association of Kenya Insurers held on 28th March 2024. They join four other Reinsurers, Africa Re, Kenya Re, East Africa Re and Zep Re as associate members of AKI. The AKI membership currently stands at 54 full members and 5 associate members.

As associate members, they benefit from all the services of the Association including lobbying on matters of interest for the insurance industry, capacity building, market research and consumer awareness. The only difference is they have no voting rights during the AGM.

The meeting also saw the election of- MS Njeri Jomo from Jubilee Health Insurance, Mr. Yogesh Meshram from Kenindia, Mr. George Kuria from Sanlam General and Mr. Hezron Wambugu from Kenya Orient General Insurance- to the AKI Board as members.
